The cocoa of Peru was declared in 2012 as "natural heritage of the nation". Peru is not a major producer of cocoa in terms of volume, but its cocoa is of the highest quality. Thanks to its varied climate, six of the eight cocoa varieties in the world are grown there. These are the beans produced on the high plateaus that Pralus have selected.
